This morning our second graders worked with Malia from the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. They identified parts of a plant, learned more about the “food factory” (leaves), made connections between plants and food chains, and had an opportunity to use microscopes to look at a variety of leaves, stems, and seeds. Using microscopes was a highlight!
