Josh from the MN Raptor Center brought four Minnesota Raptors to Breck yesterday: (1) a Red-Tailed Hawk, (2) an American Kestrel, (3) a Great-Horned Owl, and (4) (tah-dah) a Bald Eagle. We ALL learned a lot.

A couple of notes: The red-tailed hawk is blind in one eye (from an injury), which is why she lives at the Raptor Center. The kestral always has to look around after he takes a bite of food - for his own safety! The great-horned owl ate two mice for us - look for those pictures. And the bald eagle got a little excited and tried to fly - look for those photos, too - but she is on a leash, as were all the birds.
